ABSTRACT
An air valve is a hydro-mechanical device designed to automatically release air during filling, draining, operation of a water supply pipeline or of a water supply system. The safe and efficient operation of a pipeline depends on the continuous removal of air from the pipeline. This article refers to the selection of air valves and the location of air valves on the water supply pipeline.
