Fem analysis of plane structures with matlab

Abstract

Finite element method (FEM) is an important and indispensable method for structural analysis. However, using FEM to the calculation of large structural systems is always difficult in mathematics. The introduction of mathematical software to solve mathematical problems when calculating the element force, element displacement in FEM is very necessary. This paper presents application of MATLAB software to FEM for calculating the element force, element displacement of the plane truss, beam and the plane frame.
