Monitoring and control of investment construction projects of inspection agencies and State audit
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Construction investment often has multifaceted influences and plays a significant role in promoting socio-economic development in each country and each locality. In recent years, the Vietnamese government has spent a significant amount of money on construction projects to help with socioeconomic development, national security, and living standards, accounting for 25 percent to 30 percent of GDP. In 2016, investment in capital construction was VND 1,071,516 billion, accounting for 72.15% of total social investment. Monitoring and control of investment projects by state inspection and audit agencies is an activity and a crucial tool for state management agencies to perform the function of state management of projects. The article analyzes the role of the inspection agency and the State Audit and pointing out some limitations of these agencies.
