Assessment of preloading method combination with vacuum consolidation method in soil improvement at Ba Ria - Vung Tau province

Nowadays in Vietnam, vacuum consolidation method has been applied as normal method for these area with deep soft soil. Especial with logistic area belong to huge terminal group, nearby river. The vacuum consolidation method combined with preloading method and prefabricated vertical wick drain that made to reduce high of sand loading. The paper is focused about the assessment of vacuum consolidation method combined with preloading that using for SITV port. Monitoring data were back analyzed to draw conclusions which will be used as past experiences and guide lines for next similar projects.
