Abstract

ABSTRACT:

This paper studies about safety of the bearing capacity for raft foundations and box foundations by the drafted TCVN “Raft foundations and box foundations for highrise buildings” and TCVN 9362:2012. The factors studied are cofficient of variation, numbers of tested resluts, eccentric of loads, void ratios of the typical soils. This paper shows that the cofficient of variation affect the most to the differences between the results calculated by the two aforementioned methods. It is should be noted that in some cases, the bearing capacity based on the proposed method is not conservative compare with that of conventional method TCVN 9362:2012.
