Environmental sanitation management of wet markets in Cau Giay district, Hanoi
Abstract
ABSTRACT:
Chattering, bustling with the sound of buyers and sellers in the space of familiar products, it is a wet market. Wet markets exist, develop and adapt to the rhythm of city life. These days, while many markets in Hanoi only remain in memory because they have disappeared or been transformed into commercial centers, they still present as a part of history, culture, and a necessity for many families. However, managerial work of environmental sanitation factors such as solid waste, wastewater, and sanitary order being underestimated is also the cause of serious land, water, and air pollution of not only the market areas but also the surroundings. This article analyzes the current situation of environmental sanitation management in Cau Giay district’s markets, as well as proposes some measures on policy mechanisms, management organizations, and techniques to improve the efficiency of environmental sanitation management at wet markets in Cau Giay district in particular and Hanoi in general.
