Investigation of construction schedule management at Project Management Board, Phu Hoa District, Phu Yen Province from 2015 to 2019 and recommendations for present projects

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Phu Hoa is known as a relatively big and developing district of Phu Yen province, a central region of Viet Nam. In recent years, it has been received huge investment from Government in infrastructure construction field. From 2015 to 2019, a number of construction projects implemented successfully by Phu Hoa Project Management Board and then people’s life there has been also improved gradually. However, in this period, some construction projects were not reached schedules as intended, and economical and political goals of the investment therefore were not obtained. Hence, the purpose of this research is to investigate the schedule management of these construction projects in order to point out inappropriate management process and other issues at Phu Hoa Project Management Board. Finally, based on analyses of the, roles and responsibilities of project parties, recommendations then are shown at the conclusion just to improve schedule management efficiency of present Government budget construction projects at Phu Hoa Project Management Board.
