Procedure and Recommendations for designing the steel frame of single-storey industrial building according to European standard EN 1993-1

Abstract

This paper presents a summary of the European Standard EN 1993-1 in the calculation of steel industrial building structures, the standards used in the calculation of steel structures in general, and the standards used for the calculate of the industrial buildings steel structure in particular. On this basic, establish the procedure for designing the steel frame of single-storey industrial building according to European standard EN 1993-1, and give some recommendations when designing this structures in the condition of Vietnam. Perform example calculation of steel frame, to illustrate calculation theory and apply it in practical calculation.
