Applications of the EFQM model in construction management research: A systematic review (1998-2023)

Abstract

In recent years, the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) model is used in many fields, including construction management. There are many bibliometric studies exploring the application of the model in different fields. The purpose of this study is to search and survey documents in the construction management industry using the EFQM model. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliographic analysis based on VOSviewer software were utilized. The survey results on the electronic database Sciencedirect of Elsevier publishers show that there are 164 studies using the EFQM model in the field of construction management, focusing on 6 different clusters with 27 main keywords. The results also suggest future research topics.
