Static bending analysis of porous plates
Abstract
This is the first paper to integrate the analytical method with the theory of the third-order shear strain to investigate the problem of static bending of porous-material plates. The plate consists of three material layers, the exterior two of which are composed of microporous material. The solution is determined using Navier's analytic method, and the calculation theory is validated by comparing it to published works. In addition, the article investigates the effect of certain material parameters, such as porous volume ratio and plate thickness, on the static deformation response of a plate. In practice, the research outcomes are valuable references for designers and fabricators of multilayer material structures.
