Abstract

The coastal area of Ngoc Hien district, Cà Mau province, is experiencing erosion due to the impacts of climate change, rising sea levels, and coastal erosion. To mitigate these effects, a seawall project has been constructed to reduce wave action and erosion. After the construction process, there have been observable effects on water flow, sedimentation, erosion, and sea waves. This article presents a survey of changes in the landscape and analyzes the factors affecting the coastal area and the structure of the seawall using the finite element method. The finite element method is employed to model and analyze the various factors that impact the seawall structure and the changes in the landscape of the research area. This numerical method is commonly used in engineering and research to simulate and evaluate complex phenomena.
