A Hospital Project Scope Management Framework in Vietnam
Abstract
In Vietnam, project scope management is currently a complex and time-consuming task. In this paper, a framework, based on the PDRI initiatives from the Construction Industry Institute in the USA, is presented which can help to identify specific characteristics for hospital construction projects. Hospital investment projects have faced many challenges even resulted in delay and cost overrun. The effective scope management is the most important factor. This paper presents a list of scope elements to support the definition of hospital construction project scope. The appropriateness of elements related to form, content, completeness, updateability, accuracy, feasibility, applicability, and purpose are evaluated.
