Research on solutions for assessing the existing condition of coastal protection structures made of reinforced concrete
Abstract
Reinforced concrete structures operating in marine environments often experience rapid deterioration. This reality raises a need for research into the investigation and quality assessment during the design process, construction procedures, as well as the evaluation of the existing condition of these structures. However, current regulations on the investigation and evaluation of reinforced concrete structures, especially those operating in marine environments, are still incomplete. This paper initially proposes a sequence for assessing the current condition of coastal protection structures made of reinforced concrete and suggests some solutions that can be applied to ensure the inspection process achieves the desired results.
