Application of bim in the fabrication of precast reinforced concrete components
Abstract
The application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the fabrication of reinforced concrete (RC) beams has led to significant improvements in accuracy, production process optimization and product marketing support. This study presents the use of BIM to create 3D models, generate 2D drawings, extract quantities, simulate the fabrication and transportation process and integrate 4D/5D BIM technology to enhance production management efficiency. The results indicate that BIM not only reduces time and costs but also improves accuracy and quality throughout the entire product lifecycle.
