Some measures to improve housing development capacity to meet the needs and affordability of industrial park workers

ABSTRACT:

Securing accommodation for workers is an important and urgent issue in order to stabilize life for a core and rapidly growing workforce in the process of Vietnam striving to become an industrial country, especially for workers' housing in industrial zones. Recently, many mechanisms and policies of the Party and Government have been promulgated and together with businesses, people and society, some initial results have been achieved. However, the development of worker housing must be suitable and associated with the needs and very limited financial capacity of industrial park workers. The content of the article is to provide some general and multi-purpose measures to improve housing development capacity in accordance with the needs and affordability of industrial park workers.
