Assessment of the status of organization of space of mental health hospitals in Hanoi

Abstract

It has long been recognized that the treatment environment and mental health treatment are closely related, but there are not many data and standards on architectural design for Mental health hospitals to create a good therapeutic environment. The current psychiatric hospital system in Vietnam is mostly built based on the standards of conventional hospitals with a lot of potential for unsafety for both patients and medical staff.

This article will present the results of assessment on the current situation of spatial organization of some mental health hospitals in Hanoi city, thereby serving as a basis for proposing requirements in the organization of mental health services. Organize the space for the inpatient area of the mental health hospital to match the trend of rehabilitation treatment.
