Proposal for solutions to treat certain specific pollutants in surface water supply for domestic use in our country
Abstract
In recent years, several rivers in Vietnam have been contaminated by certain specific pollutants, affecting the water treatment processes of water treatment plants and the health of the population. These particular pollutants include manganese, iron, arsenic, total nitrogen, and more. There are two main causes of surface water pollution. Firstly, during the flow of the rivers, erosion and transportation of geological materials containing these specific pollutants occur. Secondly, industrial wastewater and untreated domestic wastewater are directly discharged into the rivers. Detecting and implementing preventive measures, as well as solutions to eliminate these specific pollutants, are crucial and highly practical.
Key word: Special pollutants; water treatment.
