Abstract

The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) lawyers marks an important turning point in the development of the legal profession. This article examines AI lawyers in the context of legal education in Vietnam through a comprehensive analysis of AI's role in global law practice. The research employs systematic and comparative approaches to analyze the concept of AI lawyers, their potential applications, and their impact on legal education reform. The study identifies both opportunities and challenges in integrating AI into Vietnam's legal education system during the digital transformation era. The paper highlights how AI lawyers can enhance legal work efficiency while acknowledging limitations in ethical judgment and client advocacy. The findings suggest that Vietnamese legal education programs need significant updates to equip students with digital skills, AI knowledge, and understanding of related ethical and legal issues. The article concludes with practical recommendations for innovating legal education to meet the demands of the digital age while maintaining core professional values.
