Abstract

The planning and expansion of transportation land is a key driver of regional connectivity, but it also creates profound changes to the livelihoods of local communities. This study focuses on assessing the impact of planning and expanding transportation projects on households through the Sustainable Livelihood Framework (DFID). Survey results show that, thanks to realistic compensation policies, people's short-term financial resources have increased significantly. 41.5% of households have improved their living standards by shifting to trade and services, while 58.5% have maintained stability and promoted the shift in livelihoods towards reducing dependence on agriculture and increasing trade and service activities. This article proposes the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Inverse Weighted Interpolation (IDW) algorithms to construct land price maps, ensuring transparency and suggesting appropriate adjustment coefficients (1.41 - 1.50) to ensure social welfare and limit conflicts of interest during the implementation of land expansion plans for transportation infrastructure.
