MONITORING ELECTRIC ENERGY USING IoT APPLICATION

Abstract

Energy and environment are key factors determining sustainable development of the national economy. Saving energy is an important part of the strategy for sustainable development. In order to practice saving and effective energy management, it is necessary to have a monitoring system that collects accurate, real-time energy parameters. This article presents the design and construction of an energy monitoring system through the IoT based on the PZEM-004T multipurpose metering module. The system monitors current, voltage, capacity, power factor parameters and sends it to the internet via Blynk application. Managers can access data anytime and anywhere through internet-connected laptop, tablet, or smartphone devices. The collected data can be used for other applications such as electricity billing, smart grid and smart home. This research contributes to the application of IoT to life and supports energy saving solutions for consumers.
