FACTORS INFLUENCING THE QUALITY OF LIFE PERCEPTION IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS – STUDY ON PATIENTS EXAMINED AND TREATED AT MY PHUOC HOSPITAL
Abstract
A cross-sectional study was conducted on 97 diabetic patients at My Phuoc hospital in March 2018. Results showed that the quality of life of diabetic patients suffering for less than 5 years: 25.6% was high, 74.4% was average; diabetic patients suffering from 5 to 10 years: 12% was high and 88% was average; diabetic patients suffering from 10 - 15 years: 5.9% was high and 94.1% was average; diabetic patients suffering for greater than 15 years: 100% was average. The factors such as age (p = 0.033), duration of illness (p = 0.033) have affect the quality of life. Research findings that the quality of life of diabetic patient decrease following the suffering time and age are related to the quality of life.
