TEACHER’S ETHIC IN VIETNAMESE HIGHER EDUCATION HISTORY
Abstract
Vietnam's higher education has been developing for nearly 1.000 years, and has trained many generations of intellectuals that has also formed and established teachers' ethical standards. Approached from a historical perspective, the paper aims to identify the progression of teachers' ethical standards in the higher education environment in Vietnam over time. The standards have been influence of historical context, main ideology and educational philosophy of each period. The findings show that Vietnam's higher education has built many generations of bright teachers with moral qualities and character. From the research results on traditional and modern teacher ethics, the study outlines the framework of ethical standards for university teachers in the context of the 4.0 technology revolution and enhances the international integration of Vietnam.
