THE ROLE OF THE PRIVATE ECONOMY IN THE PROCESS INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC INTEGRATION IN HO CHI MINH CITY (1996-2019)

Abstract

International economic integration is an inevitable trend in the contemporary world, countries that want to develop and not lag behind must conduct international integration. In the process of integration, the private economy plays a particularly important role, being the driving force, the backbone of the economy, creating the necessary and sufficient potential for countries to carry out international economic integration. Ho Chi Minh City is a locality that plays the role of the economic locomotive of the whole country, the nucleus of the southern key economic region, leading in the process of international economic integration. Having these outstanding development achievements is the impact of many factors, of all economic sectors, including the important contribution of the private sector. On the basis of an overview of the development of theoretical thinking of the Communist Party of Vietnam on private economic development, the article presents the current situation of the private economy in the city, thereby assessing the role of the private economy in the development of the private sector, the process of international economic integration of the city.
