Abstract

Assessing the reality of land use is a necessary content to provide information for making land use plan for the next year and the future. In this study, by applying regulations of the Natural Resources and Environment sector combined with field surveys; data collecting and processing; mapping; synthesize, evaluate and present results. Some main results of the land use plan 2024 include: (i) Agricultural land: 4,504.03 hectares (down 109.77 hectares compared to the current status in 2023), accounting for 44.85% of the natural area; (ii) Non-agricultural land is 5,538.67 hectares (an increase of 109.77 hectares compared to 2023), accounting for 55.15% of the natural area and (iii) Unused land is: 0.0 hectares, due to fully exploited and used for the two groups of agricultural land and non-agricultural land. Assessing the reality and proposing land use plans for Nha Be district helps the local government determine land use needs in the planning year to serve economic development and social welfare projects.
