Employment and stabilizing the lives of workers in industrial zones – issues that need to be resolved
Abstract
The stabilization of work and life for labours is always essential, impacting strongly on the stable development of industrial zones. Currently, in Vietnam, the problem of creating jobs and stabilizing the lives of workers in industrial zones still faces many shortcomings. Based on research on theoretical and practical problems, remaining issues have been found. Problems to be solved to keep working and life of labours stable require companies to develop suitable policies for labours to pay insurance. Every enterprise might set up a trade union to take care of and protect the interests of employees and mobilize the organization of production emulation movements in enterprises. Meals between shifts must ensure food quality and safety. Enterprises coordinate with the Industrial Zone Board to pay more attention to housing, hospitals, schools and recreational facilities. The management board of industrial zones should propagate and teach laws for labours so they can live responsibly for their communities.
