THE THREE FUNDAMENTAL LAWS OF MATERIALIST DIALECTICS IN MATHEMATICAL COGNITION

Abstract

The three fundamental laws of materialist dialectics in Marxist–Leninist philosophy constitute the basic methodological principles of Marxist–Leninist philosophy and are applied to explain the development of objects and phenomena. These three laws together form the principle of development. They hold particularly important significance in the dialectical materialism of Marxist–Leninist philosophy, serving as one of the foundational elements of materialist dialectics as well as a key component of the overall Marxist–Leninist philosophical system. These laws can also be fully recognized in mathematical research with important methodological implications. Specifically, they include the law of the transformation of quantitative changes into qualitative changes and vice versa; the law of the unity and struggle of opposites; and the law of the negation of the negation. These laws reveal the general tendency and regularity of development in the process of understanding the objective world in general and mathematics in particular.
