SINGAPORE'S EXPERIENCE IN SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLICATIONS FOR VIETNAM
Abstract
Singapore is considered a prime example of sustainable tourism development. The country has successfully balanced economic growth with the preservation of cultural and natural values, while also creating a modern tourism ecosystem that attracts international visitors. The lessons from Singapore offer practical value for Vietnam, especially as the country aims to position tourism as a key economic sector and pursue sustainable development based on green and inclusive growth by 2030. This article focuses on analyzing Singapore’s outstanding experiences in sustainable tourism development. Based on these insights, the paper proposes specific and feasible implications for Vietnam, helping to guide the strategic direction of sustainable tourism development in a way that is effective and appropriate to the country’s actual conditions
