"THE PEOPLE SUPERVISE, THE PEOPLE BENEFIT" - SOME RAISED ISSUES IN THE CURRENT STAGE

Abstract: The people have always been the main force, the fundamental driving force, the “power that pushes the boat” as well as the “power that capsizes the boat” in social revolutions. In our society, the people are not only the basic productive force of society; they play an extremely significant and irreplaceable role in the production of both material products and the cultural-spiritual products of society. Furthermore, the people act as the eyes and ears that conduct inspections, detect violations, and evaluate the effectiveness of all aspects of policy implementation in social life. The 13th National Congress of the Party emphasized the crucial principle: “The people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect, the people supervise, and the people benefit.” Thus, the right to supervise and the right to benefit from the legitimate interests of the people are inseparable from the right of the people to “know, discuss, act, and inspect.” Only when the people are informed, consulted, and democratically discuss matters can they effectively supervise and legitimately benefit. These propositions are tightly interconnected, forming a unified system that contributes to the strength of the nation.
