THE ROLE OF MUSIC IN PROMOTING REVOLUTIONARY IDEOLOGY AND PATRIOTISM AMONG THE YOUTH IN VIETNAM TODAY

Abstract

Abstract: Music, as a popular art form, is an important spiritual food for all generations, especially the youth. Beyond its entertainment role, music also plays a role in awareness, education, and aesthetics. This article discusses some of the roles of music in promoting revolutionary ideals and patriotism among the youth in Vietnam today; analyzes some of the issues related to educating revolutionary ideals and patriotism through music, and proposes several basic solutions to enhance the role of music in nurturing these values for the younger generation in Vietnam.
