Abstract: The art of Southern Vietnamese folk music is not only a traditional music form but also an identity, sentiment, and lifestyle imbued in the daily life of people in the river region. From the tea table in the hometown, the corner of the field, the river wharf to the big festival stage, the sound of the folk music still resonates - simple, yet profound, generous and sophisticated. Researching the values of Southern Vietnamese folk music, the current status of Southern Vietnamese folk music to find reasonable solutions to preserve and promote the artistic values of Southern Vietnamese folk music are the contents that the article aims at.
