Abstract: In the process of national development, the Communist Party of Vietnam always clearly defines the position and role of intellectuals. With the rapid growth of science, technology, and the knowledge economy, the Party continues to promote the role of intellectuals, identifying them as one of the key driving forces for the fast and sustainable development of the country in the new era. For a country like Vietnam, which is accelerating industrialization and modernization, the demand for high-quality human resources is of top priority. Therefore, intellectuals in universities play a critical role in training human resources, especially high-quality human resources. The article discusses the position, role, and issues of promoting the role of intellectuals in higher education institutions today.
