Abstract

Abstract: Engaging in foreign relations with other nations is always a critical task as it closely relates to the country's destiny. While each historical period has its unique conditions, opportunities, and challenges, a consistent thread throughout Vietnam’s diplomatic history is the spirit of indomitability and resilience, combined with tactfulness and flexibility in dealing with other nations and peoples. This is the foreign policy art and style affirmed by former General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, who emphasized both "firmness in principles" and "flexibility in tactics," strongly reflecting the “Vietnamese bamboo” diplomatic style.

Keywords: Firmness in principles, flexibility in tactics, foreign policy.
