Effects of the Soviet criminal procedure law on Vietnamese criminal procedure law

Abstract

The Soviet law with its own traditions and characteristics was born, developed and influenced the legal systems of many countries in the socialist system, including Vietnam. Over the decades, the imprint of the Soviet criminal procedure law is still deeply reflected on our criminal procedure law. The article researches on the influence of the Soviet criminal procedure law in Vietnam to reflex the selective absorption, the creative legal reform which was suitable to our socio-economic conditions, thereby drawing lessons for Vietnam in legal reform, acquiring international experience in modern era.
