The risk of corruption due to inadequacies in legal development in Vietnam

Abstract

Recently, legal development in Vietnam has been concerned to improve but mainly on the technical aspect. That leads to some inherent inadequacies which become major barriers to achieving the goal of building an objective, fair, transparent legal system that meets the requirements of international integration and sustainable development in the process of building a socialist rule-of-law state in Vietnam; as well as can become causes, conditions or opportunities for corruption. The author analyzes and comments on the risk of corruption due to inadequacies of current institutions on the development of legal documents in key aspects.
