Solutions to improve the efficiency of practicing the prosecution rights in the stage of initiation and investigation of drug cases in the provinces bordering Laos

Abstract

Most of the Vietnam - Laos border provinces are hot spots for drug-related crimes. The number of cases and defendants prosecuted in these 10 border provinces is very high compared to the national average, with many complicated cases and a particularly large amount of drugs seized. Through research and analysis of typical cases, the article points out the shortcomings and limitations in the practice of prosecution rights for drug cases during the initiation and investigation stages in the provinces bordering Laos in recent years; on that basis, proposes a number of solutions to improve the effectiveness of this activity in practice.
