Community reintegration of juvenile offenders under Vietnamese law
Abstract
After serving their sentences and returning to the community, juveniles face several challenges in reintegrating into society. Currently, Vietnamese law has many specific and specialized regulations on community reintegration activities and policies as well to support community reintegration activities for juveniles who have completed their prison sentences. This article discusses and analyzes current legal regulations on community reintegration for juveniles in Vietnam, as well as the achieved results, limitations and causes of limitations in the process of relevant entities applying these regulations. From there, a number of solutions to improve the effectiveness of applying legal regulations on this issue are proposed.
