Laws of several European countries on the first-instance civil jurisdiction of courts by territory

Abstract

Regulations on first-instance civil jurisdiction of courts by territory in several European countries are considered pioneering and have great reference value for many regions around the world. Vietnam, as a country that follows the civil law legal system, also has similarities in a number of aspects with these countries. This article focuses on researching and analyzing the legal regulations of the European Union, France, Germany and hence draws some general assessments on the regulatory systems of these countries on first-instance civil jurisdiction of courts by territory as well as gives some comments on current Vietnamese legal regulations.
