Trends in the changing personal characteristics of offenders
Abstract
In the field of legal science, particularly criminal law and criminology, personal characterisic is a complex and independently studied issue. In the current context of building a socialist rule-of-law state “of the people, by the people, and for the people” in Vietnam, the study of offenders’
personal characteristic holds not only political, social, and legal significance but also practical scientific value. It serves as a basis for proposing effective crime prevention and control measures and determining the degree of criminal liability. This article presents the concept, characteristics and significance of the personal characteristic of offenders, and analyzes current trends in the changing of such characteristics in Vietnam as well.
