Comparison of prostitution-related crimes in the Chinese Penal Code and experiences for Vietnam

Abstract

Depending on each country’s perspective and criminal policy, the criminal laws of countries around the world differ in defining prostitution as a crime. The article compares the provisions on prostitution-related crimes in the Chinese Penal Code with the Vietnamese Penal Code to clarify the similarities and differences, thereby drawing experience in criminal legislation and proposing solutions to improve the provisions of the Vietnamese Penal Code on prostitution-related crimes.
