Abstract
Land parcel splitting constitutes one of the legal mechanisms by which a land user may divide their existing land use rights into multiple, distinct portions. This process enables land users to undertake transactions such as gifting, transferring, inheritance, or conversion of land use purposes without impacting the entirety of the current landholding. Within the scope of this article, the author analyzes the new provisions introduced in the 2024 Land Law governing the subdivision of land parcels; on that basis, points out existing legal shortcomings and inconsistencies, and offers recommendations aimed at improving the legal framework on this matter.
