Solutions for improving Vietnam’s criminal procedure law on electronic evidence
Abstract
The rapid development of digital technology has introduced new challenges to criminal proceedings, particularly in the collection, verification, and use of electronic evidence. This type of evidence is becoming increasingly common in cases involving high-tech crime, online fraud, and transnational offenses. However, the current Vietnamese legal system lacks a comprehensive and unified legal framework to regulate electronic evidence, resulting in confusion and inconsistency in practical application. This article analyzes the theoretical foundations, legal provisions and practical realities surrounding electronic evidence in criminal proceedings, thereby proposing legal reforms that align with the demands of the digital age.
