The role of the People’s Procuracy in controlling the implementation of judicial power in Vietnam in the new era
Abstract
The People’s Procuracy is a constitutionally established institution entrusted with the functions of exercising prosecutorial authority and supervising judicial activities. Its duties include safeguarding the law; protecting human rights and citizens’ rights; defending the socialist regime; and preserving the interests of the State, and the lawful rights and interests of organizations and individuals as well. These responsibilities contribute to ensuring the strict and uniform enforcement of the law. Based on current legal provisions, this article analyzes and evaluates the role of the People’s Procuracy in controlling the implementation of judicial power in the new era and offers recommendations for improving the effectiveness of this matter.
