Characteristics of images from electronic data and issues for forensic work

Abstract

Images from electronic data are increasingly asserting their role as a special source of evidence in criminal cases, which is important in proving crimes. However, in practice, image appraisal activities currently still have many limitations and problems in both the legal framework and in the implementation process. In that context, studying the characteristics of images from electronic data and overcoming limitations and problems is an inevitable requirement to improve the effectiveness of investigations, ensuring the objectivity and accuracy of evidence in criminal proceedings.
