The missions of audio and visual inspection of the Supreme People’s Procuracy

Abstract

From January 1, 2021, the Law amending and supplementing the 2012 Law on Judicial Examination that allows the establishment of the Criminal Technical Inspection Department under the Supreme People’s Procuracy (SPP) to conduct audio and visual inspection from electronic data is going to be officially put into practice. This requires SPP to quickly study and prepare conditions for implementing legal regulations into practice. The article points out the need to establish a Criminal Technical Inspection Department under the SPP as well as presents a number of recommendations to implement this expertise effectively.
