The works of fighting and preventing crimes commited by person under 18 years old through the function of the People’s Procuracy

Abstract

The People’s Procuracy prosecutes and supervises judicial activities in criminal proceedings to ensure that all criminal acts are promptly detected, charged, investigated, prosecuted and adjudicated, to avoid wrongful convictions or crime omissions. At the same time, it ensures the human rights and citizen rights of the accused and other participants in criminal proceedings. Recently, the works of fighting and preventing crimes committed by person under 18 years old through the functions of the People’s Procuracy has achieved many positive results but still witnessed a number of limitations and shortcomings. The article evaluates the situation of crimes committed by person under 18 years old, some difficulties and obstacles, thereby gives solutions for the People’s Procuracy to improve the effectiveness of these works.
