Completing Vietnamese law on sexual harassment in the workplace

Abstract

Sexual harassment in the workplace is a topic that receives attention from Vietnamese people and lawmakers. Sexual harassment in the workplace causes negative impacts on victims, employers and the working environment, so this behavior needs to be prevented and punished promptly. Despite the increasing number of complaints and denunciations of sexual harassment, the legal framework in Vietnam regulating this issue are not comprehensive enough and the decree on administrative sanctions still has some shortcomings. The article analyzes the provisions of Vietnamese law on sexual harassment in the workplace, points out some limitations and proposes recommends to improve Vietnamese law on this issue.
