The role of the 2013 Constitution in sustainable development in Vietnam
Abstract
Sustainable development is gradually becoming the standard of action in development processes. Sustainable development in law is both a component and a goal of sustainable development. Law in general, and the 2013 Constitution in particular, have been playing a great role in the sustainable development process in Vietnam. The article analyzes the impacts of the 2013 Vietnamese Constitution on sustainable development when referring to the principles, requirements, conditions and pillars mentioned in the world’s sustainable development framework. From there, it proposes basic initial solutions, aiming at the goal of the Constitution being truly the foundation and motivation for sustainable development in Vietnam.
