Development trends of law on cybercrimes in Vietnam’s new development stage

Abstract

The article analyzes the development trends of international criminal law on cybercrimes based on a comparison between the 2001 Budapest Convention on Cybercrime and the 2024 United Nations Convention against Cybercrime; analyzes the development trends of Vietnamese criminal law on cybercrimes. From there, it recommends directions for perfecting the provisions on cybercrimes in Vietnamese criminal law to ensure compatibility with international law as well as meet the requirements of crime prevention and control in the new development stage of the country.
