OVERVIEW OF RESEARCH ON METHODS AND FORMS OF EDUCATING NARRATIVE SKILLS FOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Abstract

Narrative skills play a very important role in the life and development of people in general and of children in particular. Narration skills are a condition for people to express their personal thoughts, feelings, aspirations and viewpoints to everyone around them. With the goal of clarifying and analyzing methods and forms of narrative skills education for preschool children, this study approaches through a descriptive overview and data analysis from 35 studies in 8 countries in the world. The results of the study show that educational methods of narrative skills for preschool children include scaffolding methods, conversational methods, games, and narrative-based language intervention, methods of supporting knowledge in language and literacy); Forms of narrative skills education include through experience, through scientific discovery, through teaching children to tell stories... This article provides important information to propose appropriate educational measures for preschool children in Vietnam, which r has been not paid much attention.
