“FOOD STORY” IN VIETNAM TOURISM DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
Food is one of the strengths of Vietnam tourism, but we do not have an attractive culinary tourism brand. According to experts in this field, to develop culinary tourism, it is necessary to exploit cultural and historical factors related to the formation and development of dishes; helping visitors not only feel the taste but also experience its spiritual value. The article gives a suggestion for exploiting the cultural - historical element of cuisine with stories. Research using methods of data collection and processing; consult experts; interdisciplinary research methods. From there, the author defines and categorizes the concept of "food story", analyzing its role in tourism development. We hope, this will be a factor to build a database for Vietnam's culinary tourism - an important task that the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has set out.
